Environment : mostly soft sediments (sand, mud, or sandy-mud bottoms), sometimes coral reefs, from intertidal/shallow coastal waters to deep water (over 200 m); common in the Indo-Pacific, Western Atlantic (Caribbean), and some Australian waters
