Feeding : carnivorous predators ( sea cucumbers, sea urchins, starfish, crustaceans, bivalves, small fish and polychaetes or sipunculids)
Environment : tropical and subtropical marine environments worldwide, including the Indo-Pacific, Atlantic (e.g., Caribbean, Mediterranean), and regions like the Canary Islands, West Africa, and Baja California in soft substrates such as sandy or muddy seabeds, often with seagrass beds, coral reefs, bays, or coves, from the intertidal zone down to continental shelf and slope depths down to ~200 m
