Feeding : active predators specializing in drilling into the shells of other mollusks (especially bivalves, but also gastropods and scaphopods)
Environment : soft-bottom marine environments worldwide, from the intertidal zone to deep-sea sediments (down to 1000 m) in sandy or muddy bottoms, seagrass beds, estuaries, and shelf sediments
