Environment : distributed worldwide, inhabit mostly shallow waters on sandy or muddy substrates (mangrove areas, coral reefs, rocky shores, gently sloping rocks, pebbles, boulders, and intertidal rocky pools), often in intertidal zones, but can also be found in deeper waters
